Red Road Celebration
The Red Road to Sobriety movement in the indigenous cultures in America started with the Pow Wow for which this poster was commissioned. Leon Chiefelk, the president of the Santa Cruz Indian Council, spearheaded the movement by organizing the event and encouraging all tribes to attend. The image of the elder chief represents the teacher of old ways. The storm clouds represent the addiction problem.
